About
What is an "advent calendar zine"?
An Advent Calendar is special calendar that's normally used to count down the days until Christmas, in which every day there is a gift, a message, or something special hiding behind a door or some other partition.
Those who subscribe to the zine will receive a daily "gift" in the form of a short fic or piece of artwork featuring the cast and characters of Kingdom Hearts! This will consist of 25 days worth of art and stories separated over four weeks, with each week featuring a Wintery/Holiday theme!
How will we get our "daily gifts"?
Once you've signed up for the zine (through Gumroad), you will be subscribed to a mailing list from the email [email protected] and receive a small fic or pic in the form of a pdf every day up until the 25th of December. Should you join /after/ the first or anytime during December, you will begin getting your gifts on the day you signed up, with previous days able to be viewed after all 25 days have been compiled. Be sure to have the email address unmarked as spam so you can receive it!!
What kind of things will be in the Zine?
This zine will feature any character that is within the Kingdom Hearts franchise, but only displaying Platonic relationships. Ships are wonderful, but we want this to be a zine that everyone can enjoy and express their love of the franchise and spread a little Holiday cheer! That being said, all winter-based holidays will be included! We are looking for about 20 artists and 5 writers to participate in the zine. In addition, we will have 7 weekly artists featured on the reoccurring weekday, so there's plenty of awesome gifts to go around!
How much will the zine cost?
This is a charity zine, with all profits going to Starlight Children's Foundation, which brings fun and gaming to children that have been hospitalized with severe illnesses to bring a little light back in their life. You can read more about the organization below.
That being said, this zine will be FREE ZINE with any donations considered in-kind.

When will the Zine start?
The zine will run from December 1st-25th, 2020, with each day featuring a different creator of a piece of artwork or story. Links to their social media will be provided so you can enjoy their other wonderful work too! Once we receive enough interest, applications will open up for artists and fic-writers who would like to be contributors to the Zine!
